On September 25, the naming ceremony for the “Panshan” train on the Beijing-Tianjin and Tianjin-Tangshan railway lines was grandly held at Tianjin North Station, a historic station with over a century of history. The naming of the “Panshan” train not only further showcases the unique tourism resources of Panshan and the tourism brand of Jizhou District, but also establishes a new platform and window for promoting the area. It was learned from the ceremony that tourists traveling to Panshan on the “Panshan” train can enjoy a preferential policy of 20 yuan per person by presenting their ID card and the same-day train ticket.
Since the beginning of this year, Jizhou District has worked closely with the Beijing Railway Bureau to successively launch the Tianjin-Tangshan Suburban Railway and the Beijing-Tianjin Intercity Express Railway. To date, the two lines have transported a total of 884,000 tourists and achieved an impressive daily reception of 9,600 visitors, playing a crucial role in boosting the economic and social development of Jizhou District, especially its tourism industry. The successive opening of these two railways has made travel more convenient and diverse for residents of Beijing and Tianjin, with the number of visitors from both cities to the Panshan Scenic Area continuously rising.
It is understood that Panshan, a national 5A-level scenic spot, is a famous historical and cultural mountain. Its records date back to the Han Dynasty and it flourished during the Qing Dynasty. It is a tourist destination where natural landscapes and historic sites coexist, and Buddhist culture blends with imperial culture. In recent years, leveraging its resource and location advantages, the scenic area has fully implemented a strategy to upgrade its facilities and services, actively striving to build a first-class national scenic spot and a premium national 5A-level attraction. To further promote Panshan’s historical and cultural resources, the scenic area has collaborated with China Railway Travel Service to name the Beijing-Tianjin and Tianjin-Tangshan railway trains as the “Panshan” train. Utilizing various platforms such as train naming stickers, seat headrest covers, in-carriage posters and display boards, as well as onboard announcements, the area comprehensively showcases the historical culture, natural scenery, and humanistic charm of Panshan and surrounding tourist attractions.
