Boasting one of the most picturesque coastlines in northern Taiwan, the Keelung Badouzi section is surrounded by many stunning seascapes and ecological parks, ideal for a weekend family getaway. The recently introduced railbike offers a fresh perspective to experience the coastal charm—take a break and plan a one-day trip to the north coast with your family or partner!

1.Wangyou Valley
This hidden gem, Wangyou Valley, refers to the breathtaking view of green valleys from high ground that helps one forget all worries. Walking along the Badeozi Seaside Park trail, you can gaze across the sea at Keelung Islet, and at night, enjoy the twinkling fishing lights on the water and the glowing town lights of Jiufen.

2.Shen’ao Railbike
The Badeozi Station offers some of the most spectacular scenery along the Shen’ao Line, once hailed as “Taiwan’s most beautiful coastal branch line.” The Shen’ao Railbike not only preserves the unique coastal views, ecology, coal mining culture, and railway features, but also introduces adorable and playful blowfish-shaped bikes tailored to local characteristics. This railbike trail, closest to the coastline, connects nearby attractions and offers travelers an in-depth experience of the beauty of the north coast.

3.National Museum of Marine Science and Technology
Located next to Badeozi Fishing Port and adjacent to the Northeast Coast National Scenic Area, the National Museum of Marine Science and Technology spans approximately 48 hectares. It includes facilities such as the Marine Environment Hall, Marine Science Hall, Tidal Observation Marine Center, Tidal Observation Park, Badeozi Park, and Environmental Restoration Park, offering diverse eco-experiences that let children have fun and adults explore with peace of mind.

4.Tidal Observation Park
From the Museum of Marine Science to Tidal Observation Park, there are over 10 installation artworks perfect for photos, paired with sweeping views of the blue ocean, making it a popular photo spot. Among them, the “Broom Savior,” installed two years ago based on a concept by a French artist and resembling a magical broom from Harry Potter, continues to attract many visitors for photos.
