Attention anime fans！The 2019 Taipei International Anime Festival is here！This year’s event is loaded with highlights, featuring exclusive and limited-edition merchandise and exhibits, fan-favorite meet-and-greet autograph sessions with both local and international masters and voice actors, as well as performances by a popular Japanese girl idol group. Additionally, Japan’s super-popular virtual idol “Hatsune Miku” will also be holding a special exhibition at the festival！

This year’s seventh edition of the Taipei International Anime Festival brings together 500 booths and around 65 exhibitors to create a five-day event. It debuts the “Fantasia Bunko Grand Thanksgiving Festival 30th in TAIWAN,” showcasing numerous popular light novel works along with multiple limited and exclusive Taiwan-only illustrated merchandise items. The festival has also joined forces with the “World COSPLAY Summit” to host the COSPLAY Taiwan Representative Selection Contest. Winners will not only receive a cash prize of tens of thousands of NT dollars but will also represent Taiwan in the world competition. Aspiring cosplayers, start preparing now！

One of the highlights of the 2019 Taipei International Anime Festival is the performance by “AKB48 Team 8,” making their festival debut, along with the Taiwan debut performances of “PUNITAN,” “Sakuraebi (sakura shrimp),” and “Yokai Oniko.”

In addition to high-energy performances, voice actors from the popular anime “Shoujo☆Kageki Revue Starlight -Re LIVE-” will also take the stage to interact closely with fans; esteemed instructor “Mitsuko Horie” from the Senzoku Gakuen College of Music will lead her students in performing a super-popular anime medley that’s sure to electrify the venue！
