The FAW Toyota Peak Experience Camp hosted the "Unleash the Wild Together – Off-Road Carnival" event on October 18, 2015. The event site was exceptionally lively, with popular HIT FM 88.7 DJ ANDY serving as the host, bringing the entire crowd to an electrifying high.
This event brought together adventurers who are passionate about off-roading, love life, and enjoy sports. They turned the roads into their own playgrounds. The activity was not only grandly held in Beijing but also simultaneously launched in Shenyang, Chengdu, Zhengzhou, and other cities, igniting the entire weekend.
The event site featured not only off-road experience zones but also a series of exciting activities such as live performances by cutting-edge bands, interactive games, and a barbecue party. Attendees also received surprises including exquisite gifts and fuel vouchers worth thousands of yuan by participating in various experience segments.
Meanwhile, on the other side of Beijing — inside Olympic Forest Park — the Corolla "Dual VVT-i Pioneer" "Full Throttle Run" mini marathon kicked off at the same time as our "Off-Road Carnival." The presence of renowned basketball player Stephon Marbury also helped elevate the atmosphere to a fever pitch. The simultaneous launch of these two events jointly ignited the weekend spirit in Beijing.
The highlight of the FAW Toyota Peak Experience Camp's "Unleash the Wild Together – Off-Road Carnival" event was undoubtedly the off-road experience segment. The trial driving course was meticulously designed by off-road experts, with each off-road challenge being unique. Whether it was the thrilling narrow inclined road, towering hill climbs, rugged rock barriers, bumpy step surfaces, winding uneven stone paths, or the 700mm water fording challenge — every obstacle was a thrilling conquest.
This off-road experience segment offered a variety of test drive models, including the FAW Toyota Prado 2.7L and 3.5L, as well as the RAV4 and Land Cruiser. These models delivered outstanding performance throughout the various experience zones. The impressive off-road capabilities of the FAW Toyota Prado and RAV4 left a deep impression on attendees. When the Prado effortlessly conquered a 40° steep slope, the audience frequently erupted in applause and cheers for the vehicle’s exceptional performance.
In addition, the event attracted participation from Canon and the Off-Road Brotherhood. At the Canon booth, all attendees had the chance to create photos using Canon cameras, while professional Canon instructors provided photo technique explanations. The instructor also selected standout works and awarded participants with beautiful gifts prepared by Canon. The Off-Road Brotherhood invited owners of Toyota LC70, LC80, and LC90 models, along with their vintage vehicles, to the event site, drawing attention and adding a sense of historical legacy to the day’s festivities.
