SINA Sports News — American alpine skiing star Lindsey Vonn was hospitalized last Saturday after being bitten by her pet dog, and the incident reportedly started when she tried to “mediate” the dogs’ “Frisbee battle.”
The 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics downhill champion uploaded a video to her social media showing her finger being bitten and bleeding by her pet dog, while also explaining what really happened.
“My dogs were fighting over a Frisbee, and I got unfortunately bitten while trying to ‘break it up.’ It’s been quite an interesting weekend,” the 31-year-old Vonn wrote on Facebook.
In the video, Vonn is receiving treatment for her wound. Though dressed in a hospital gown and wearing a patient cap, she still smiles at the camera. Since the injury isn’t serious, Vonn plans to return to skiing this Sunday.
Lindsey Vonn has won the overall World Cup title four times, and her outstanding skiing skills have made her the most successful female alpine skier in U.S. history. However, her sports career has been marked by a series of unfortunate events over the years, including missing the Sochi Winter Olympics in 2014 due to a knee injury. (YZ)
