Still wondering where to go during the Chinese New Year holiday? Don’t want to drive far or deal with crowds? Bring your family or partner for a stroll at Zhishan Park, enjoy a picnic and fly kites on the huge lawn, or take a walk by the river to admire the lotus flowers, and spend quality time with your loved ones.

Zhishan Park in Shilin has recently been renovated, preserving large areas of lawn and green space while upgrading pathways, landscaping, the main lawn, badminton courts, a red-clay jogging track, a pond, and other facilities. Among them, the five-star red-clay track has attracted many runners to make a pilgrimage.

What sets Zhishan Park apart from typical urban parks is its large-scale space and mountain-water environment, which deeply attracts many visitors with its natural qualities.

During the park's planning and design, space was specifically preserved without artificial alterations. The large areas of lawn and green space, together with the riverside area and ecological pond, reconnect the mountains and waterways, allowing visitors to engage anew with the environment and interact with nature.

Zhishan Park is one of the few parks in Taipei with a red-clay track, and because it’s located next to the Outer Shuangxi River, shaded by large banyan trees overhead, the added rest platforms and pavilions offer views of the beautiful Shuangxi riverside.
