A Mountain Lifestyle in Harmony with Nature – Taiwu Ski Resort Is Here for Quality Getaways
Entering November, Beijing has welcomed its first snowfall of the winter. This "forceful" initial snowfall is highly significant: it is not only the first snowfall since Beijing successfully won the bid to host the Olympics, but also marks the official start of the 2015 Beijing skiing season, which has ignited enthusiasm among citizens for skiing trips. In recent years, skiing has seen a surge in popularity, and Beijing’s successful bid to host the 2022 Winter Olympics—a historic milestone—has propelled China’s winter sports industry to new heights. As the "Olympic City," Beijing, together with Zhangjiakou, has entered a seven-year "Olympic cycle." Chongli, the Zhangjiakou venue for the Winter Olympics, has also stepped into the international spotlight. During the first skiing season following the successful Olympic bid, the Taiwu Ski Resort, nestled under the Olympic spotlight, will begin trial operations on December 15, allowing ski enthusiasts to experience the beauty of the Olympics ahead of time.

The main ski runs fully comply with the technical requirements for women’s downhill, men’s and women’s super-G, men’s and women’s giant slalom, men’s and women’s slalom, and the alpine combined events as stipulated by the International Ski Federation (FIS).
Taiwu Ski Resort is planned to develop nearly 200 ski runs, with a total length of 138 kilometers. The proportion of beginner, intermediate, and advanced runs is 3:4:3. The first phase of development has completed a total ski run length of 20 kilometers, 28 ski runs covering an area of 720,000 square meters, 4 chairlifts, and 11 magic carpets.
In addition, the ski resort has planned a wide range of diverse, thrilling, and fun snow activities. Alongside offerings such as snowmobiles, extreme skiing, and cross-country skiing, there is also a dedicated large-scale snow tubing and children’s snow playground area with its own magic carpet, providing kids with more space to play. These colorful snow activities add joy to skiing for both adults and children, making Taiwu Ski Resort an ideal destination for family or group leisure and recreation.
One-Stop Coverage of Mountain Living
Taiwu Ski Resort not only provides winter snow activities, but its core goal is to build a true mountain resort lifestyle—where children can freely unleash their energy in a holiday playground, the elderly can enjoy the natural scenery of a "natural oxygen bar," and young people can gather, laugh, and talk about the future.
In addition, Taiwu Ski Resort offers a rich variety of cultural activities. The resort will periodically host distinctive music festivals, film festivals, art festivals, open-air performances, food festivals, and other exciting mountain cultural events, fully showcasing the boundless energy of "mountain living." During the off-snow season, cool projects favored by extreme sports enthusiasts and off-roaders—including mountain biking, go-karting, alpine ziplining, and rock climbing—as well as more peaceful, nature-connected outdoor activities such as forest hiking, camping, and horseback riding, are all expected to open to the public next year.
"Let life slow down and be joyful" is the founding philosophy of Taiwu Ski Resort. Under the blue northern sky, enjoy the high concentration of negative ions; amidst the mountains and dense forests, listen to the gentle whispers of nature; in the warm, brilliant sunshine, feel the stretched joy of time—this is the living scene that Taiwu Ski Resort carefully creates. With top-tier planning by world-class teams, distinctive ski resort advantages, and a newly defined mountain lifestyle, Taiwu Ski Resort hopes to offer urban dwellers caught in the fast lane a chance to vacation at a different pace, truly slowing life down, bit by bit…
