Kaohsiung – To revitalize Kaohsiung’s love-themed tourism industry, the Heart of Love River has been renovated, offering a new choice for Valentine’s Day dates.

The Heart of Love River is located at the intersection of Bo'ai Road and Tongmeng Road, adjacent to the Houyi MRT Station and Aozihdi Forest Park. Before the Lunar New Year, a 2.6-hectare improvement project was completed in the park. In addition to upgrading the old pavement and facilities, the surface of the Rainbow Bridge incorporates clever design, using floor paintings to mark tourist attractions along the Love River.

The Heart of Love River is also a great place for a daytime stroll and relaxation.
From the Heart of Love River all the way to the Pop Music Center at the river mouth, the route includes landmarks such as the Heart of Love River, Tower of Light, Zhongdu Wetland, Ao Yue Long Xiang, and the Film Museum. The park’s lakeside railings have also been enhanced with festive-themed lighting, with colors changing according to different holiday themes. There are romantic lighting effects on the hour in the evening, making the Heart of Love River an ideal dating destination after dark.

The riverside scenery at sunset is also quite enchanting.
The renovation of the Heart of Love River provides a comfortable space for both Kaohsiung residents and visitors to enjoy the view and relax. Existing mature trees in the park have been preserved, increasing the overall green coverage and enriching the ecological environment.

The flower beds in the park have also been designed with great care, making for vibrant and photogenic spots.
The park’s former shallow pool has been transformed with petunias, salvia, snapdragons, and scarlet sage, creating a dreamy landscape that adds a happy and romantic atmosphere to the area around the Heart of Love River – definitely a great spot for a date.
