Entertainment star Jan Pei-en has shifted her career focus to the food and beverage industry. Recently, after a six-year break, she launched a new side project — a tea drink shop in a busy area of Taipei that highlights milk tea and even invented her own tea pearls, a treat every bubble tea lover should try.

Jan Pei-en has recently relaunched a new business venture with her tea drink brand “PiQiMi 必可蜜.”

Ever since childhood, Jan Pei-en has loved bubble tea, drinking at least one cup a day. Her passion for bubble tea eventually led her to collaborate with a food R&D team several years ago to develop a unique type of tea pearl. This inspired her to create her very own tea drink brand. After over a year of preparation, she finally opened “PiQiMi 必可蜜,” a tea shop that focuses on fresh milk tea and distinctive pearls.

PiQiMi 必可蜜 mainly offers a range of milk tea series. Using tea bases such as ancient tree black tea, Tieguanyin, jasmine green tea, and winter melon tea, the drinks are paired with carefully selected fresh milk that complements the tea perfectly, resulting in a soothing and premium-quality bubble tea. Jan Pei-en stated that PiQiMi 必可蜜 does not follow internet-famous trends, but instead concentrates on tea quality, aiming to provide customers with the highest-grade bubble tea experience.

Another highlight of PiQiMi 必可蜜 is its “Green Pearl” made from Taiwanese Four Seasons Spring tea leaves. With just one bite, the rich aroma of tea bursts out — a must-try for pearl lovers. There’s also the ultra-Q-textured “Diamond Pearl,” which boasts a honey-like fragrance. The cooking method for these pearls differs from the Green Pearls and follows the store’s self-developed “Diamond Time Method,” where both the technique and timing of cooking are meticulously managed.

It took celebrity Jan Pei-en over a year to bring her dream tea shop to life.

The poetic drink names on the PiQiMi 必可蜜 menu were all brainstormed by Jan Pei-en and her team. From formulating the tea recipes, naming the drinks, designing the logo, to planning the interior décor — Jan Pei-en handled all the details herself.

Model Lin Youli, a good friend of Jan Pei-en, provided plenty of advice and ideas during the startup phase, and even showed up to support her friend during the trial operation period.
