1.Tamsui Fisherman’s Wharf
 
Tamsui Fisherman’s Wharf has long been a popular weekend dating spot for couples, but the Lover’s Bridge inside the wharf is one of the couple-taboo places. There’s a rumor that walking across it will lead to a breakup, and during the romantic night hours, couples must never lock eyes when the lights turn green, or the likelihood of breaking up increases.

2.Keelung Lover’s Lake
 
Located on Dawu Mountain in Keelung, Lover’s Lake Park is known as the city’s back garden. Visitors can enjoy the stunning lakeside scenery here. Legend has it that a couple once jumped into the lake to end their lives here due to family opposition, and the area around the lake was once abandoned. Many breakup rumors have added to the place’s haunted reputation. However, after renovation, the scenic area now features one large and one small interconnected lake, symbolizing lovers leaning on and accompanying each other. There’s a rumor that if couples hold hands and walk across the Lover’s Suspension Bridge together, they will have good marital fortune.

3.Gaoping Old Iron Bridge
 
The Gaoping Old Iron Bridge, built during the Japanese colonial period, spans three hundred hectares along the creek and includes water-friendly walkways, riverside bike paths, natural ecological zones, park green spaces, and coffee plazas, offering a magnificent and beautiful view. Local residents say that if couples walk across the iron bridge together, they are more likely to break up, making it a taboo destination for couples. The reason? The sound of steam trains was so loud that men had to shout to be heard, which often led to misunderstandings and arguments — and ultimately breakups.

4.Miaoli Longteng Broken Bridge
 
Miaoli’s famous Longteng Broken Bridge was built during the Japanese colonial period. After the Guandao Mountain earthquake, only the bridge piers remained for visitors to admire, creating the unique sight of a broken bridge. 5.National Tsing Hua University Plum Garden in Hsinchu
 
Located on the campus of National Tsing Hua University in Hsinchu, the Plum Garden is the burial site of the university’s founding president. It is planted with many beautiful plum blossoms.
