A giant butterfly flower carpet is ultra-romantic, with 500,000 LED lights twinkling at night

As spring arrives and flowers bloom, the Banqiao Jiangcui Butterfly Landscape Park will grandly open from Friday, April 19 to Saturday, May 18. It features vast flower and light seas created with plants and LED lights. During the day, it's a butterfly flower carpet, and at night it transforms into a romantic light sculpture, making it perfect for outings, spring walks, and picnics with family and friends. It offers different beauty in both daytime and nighttime.

This year’s landscape flower sea uses 230,000 colorful plants such as salvia, portulaca, lavender, lover's chrysanthemum, four-season begonia, and coleus to create the shape of Taiwan’s rare and protected butterfly species, the Swallowtail butterfly. This design overlaps with the existing butterfly-shaped flower-watching path to form two concentric butterflies, symbolizing lovers flying wing to wing—a very romantic concept.

At night, the butterfly park uses 500,000 LED bulbs to create light sculptures such as shadow butterflies, rose butterfly corridors, and butterfly castles, crafting a sparkling and colorful romantic atmosphere. It showcases the park’s different romantic charm at night. Families are welcome to come and experience this unique romantic ambiance.

This year’s butterfly park has been upgraded again, with nearly three times more LED lights than last year, making it spectacular. The flower sea also has informational signs, allowing visitors to learn about Taiwan’s unique plants while enjoying the outdoors. The park’s pathways allow for close-up photos, and many cute light decorations are scattered throughout the flower sea, healing the mood.
