Olympic table tennis champion Wang Hao also visited the5Channel 5 booth. Wang Hao is no stranger to5Channel 5—he was frequently interviewed and photographed by the channel during his athletic career. After warming up with the coach, the runners completed5kilometers of training. Lu Zheng, the organizer of the training camp, said: “Lanzhou has a profound running culture and many running enthusiasts. We gather together for training every week, and many members of this running group have also signed up for the Lanzhou Marathon.” For this Lanzhou Marathon, the5Channel Beijing Running Group also organized10runners to participate.
In addition to the cover background wall and cadence testing, this morning the5Channel also specially designed clown and magic performances, as well as quiz and lucky draw activities for the runners. The5Channel even invited street dance and BMX performers, and as the skillful performances unfolded, applause erupted at the5Channel booth. “Sports and entertainment go hand in hand. After attending the serious running lecture, it’s great to enjoy some performances — I feel this weekend has been really fulfilling,” said runner Mr. Zhang.
