Goodbye to romantic attractions: Seoul’s must-visit LED rose sea at Dongdaemun comes to an end

This location was also featured in the Korean drama “My Love from the Star” in episode 13, drawing attention from fans who visited as a pilgrimage site. Korean dramas “She Was Pretty” and “The Producers” were also filmed here.

One of the advertisement scenes for actor Gong Yoo promoting a Taiwanese mobile brand was also shot here. Unfortunately, this romantic scene came to an end at the end of April 2019. Whether visiting during the day or at night, it was a dreamy sight and made for a perfect backdrop for couples and friends to take photos together.

The Dongdaemun Design Plaza, which opened in 2014, was designed by the renowned British female architect Zaha Hadid. Even without the LED rose sea, it remains a highly attractive landmark and a must-visit site in Seoul.
