Every summer, hydrangeas bloom like explosive flower balls, showcasing shades of red, blue, and purple. Their colors shift based on the pH levels of their surroundings, creating a vibrant and magnificent spectacle. The flowering season runs roughly from May to August. Below are Taiwan’s top ten hydrangea gardens, each bursting with colorful blooms.

1.Taipei — Zhushan Lake and Shuiche Liao in Yangmingshan
 
Zhushan Lake is home to numerous hydrangea farms growing a wide variety of species in richly diverse colors. From pure white and pink with red edges, to pink, purplish-red, light blue, and blue shades, along with large and medium-sized blooms, the layered and vivid colors are loved by many visitors.
 
Traffic Control During the Yangmingshan Zhushan Lake Hydrangea Season
Dates: Holidays during the flowering season
Time: 09:00 to 18:00
1. One-way clockwise traffic control from Huti Bridge westward along the Calla Lily Avenue to the fork leading to Zhongzheng Mountain
2. Two-way traffic from Huti Bridge eastward to the Zhushan Lake Bus Stop at the Dinghu entrance
3. One-way traffic from the Dinghu section, from the Zhushan Lake Bus Stop at the Dinghu entrance to the Dinghu Industrial Road, with no U-turns allowed
4. Vehicles exit via Shiban Road toward Yangjin Highway
 
Yangde Avenue Traffic Control
Dates: Weekends and consecutive national holidays of two days or more
Time: Uphill 08:00 to 15:00, downhill 14:00 to 18:00
1. Uphill control points are located at Fuxing Bridge and the intersection at Section 2, Zhishan Road, Lane 1; guidance points at Fulin Road and Zhongyong Street
2. Downhill control points are at the Gezhi and Kaishe intersection, as well as Yangming Road and Zhongheng Street intersection
3. Control applies to private cars and trucks without permits

2.Taipei — Dataitian Flower Eco-Farm
 
Dataitian Flower Eco-Farm is a well-known flower viewing spot in Zhushan Lake. It features well-planned grounds and, thanks to its terraced terrain, offers spacious walking paths for flower viewing and photography. The flowers are also not easily picked. This year, romantic new landscape designs have been added, attracting many visitors eager to take photos.

The Flower and Tree Hydrangea Garden, located near the Dadatai Hydrangea Garden, boasts dense flower seas that captivate both flower lovers and photographers. The official flowering period extends to July, with peak blooming beginning in late May and reaching its best in June.

3.Taipei — Gao Family Hydrangea Field
 
Gao Family Hydrangea Field boasts the largest expanse of hydrangea blooms in Zhuzihhu and gained widespread fame in 2017 when a photo of its hydrangea sea was reposted and certified by Instagram, becoming a popular flower-viewing destination.
