This Mother’s Day, Taipei’s Regent Taipei Hotel, in collaboration with Regent Galleria, has created the “Regent Sweet Street,” gathering 12 popular international dessert shops, including long-queue favorites from Tokyo’s Jiyugaoka and other renowned sweet treats and gift items. Options include à la carte dining, takeout gift boxes, as well as special afternoon tea sets and hotel stay packages to celebrate Mother’s Day in style.

The pastry chef has designed a “LOVE MOM” shaped Mother’s Day cake.

Meanwhile, the hotel also offers a “LOVE MOM” cake shaped with seven letters, made with silky French cocoa Barry white chocolate mousse, layered with a berry coulis made from wild berries, blueberries, raspberries, and cashews, and a dacquoise base of red dates, goji berries, cashews, pistachios, and almonds. The cake gift boxes come in two combinations—“MOM” and “LOVE”—each starting at NT$1,680.

The Sweet Street jewelry box afternoon tea set includes the best-selling Tokyo souvenir “BAKER’S CUSTARD custard cake crunch,” selling 300 per minute.

From May 1 to 31, the second-floor Upper Lounge presents the limited-edition “Sweet Street Jewelry Box Afternoon Tea Set” for May.

Includes Tokyo’s luxury patisserie “Kurofune’s” special pearl milk tea-inspired matcha castella, Tokyo’s popular souvenir “BAKER’S CUSTARD custard cake crunch,” mini Japanese matcha and salted caramel éclairs from Taipei’s famous French patisserie “1789 Café Pâtisserie,” Heritage Bakery & Cafe’s pink guava cheesecake, and the heart-shaped berry white chocolate cake from the Regent pastry kitchen.

The acclaimed luxury patisserie “Kurofune” from Jiyugaoka, known as a must-visit, offers a special pearl milk tea-inspired castella.

For savory options, there’s “Smoked Salmon with Caviar,” featuring Danish bread grilled to perfection, layered with Norwegian smoked salmon, creamy ricotta cheese with a slight graininess, and topped with caviar; and “Shrimp Tartlet,” made with boiled and shelled white shrimp from Taitung fishing port, diced and mixed with mayonnaise made from Italian grape seed oil, served on crispy French bread with a sprinkle of sprouts.

Each set comes with two self-selected drinks and two servings of the “Goddess Loves Vinegar” specialty drink, made with Earl Grey, Darjeeling black tea, Earl Grey syrup, fresh pineapple, lemon, orange, and garnished with fresh redcurrants—each set priced at NT$1,280 (serves two).
