New Japanese Emperor's Era Name Announced！Flights to Japan Starting from 501 RMB

AirAsia, Asia’s largest low-cost airline, is celebrating the ascension of Japan’s new emperor. In honor of the Japanese Emperor’s Enthronement Day on May 1st, AirAsia is launching a limited-time 72-hour “Japanese Emperor’s Enthronement” special, with one-way untaxed fares starting at 501 RMB. Join in the celebration of the new emperor’s enthronement and fly affordably.

The 125th Japanese Emperor Akihito abdicated on April 30th, officially ending the Heisei era. Crown Prince Naruhito and Princess Masako will ascend the throne as the new Emperor and Empress on May 1st, ushering in the new era name “Reiwa.”

AirAsia officially launched its Japan routes earlier this year, which also happens to coincide with the dawn of the Reiwa era. While Japan celebrates with a “Golden 10-Day Holiday,” AirAsia is marking the occasion with a “Japanese Emperor’s Enthronement Price” based on the enthronement date:
Taipei-Nagoya one-way untaxed fares start at 501 RMB; Taipei-Osaka one-way untaxed fares start at 1,001 RMB. The special offer is valid from 00:00 on April 30th to 23:59 on May 2nd, for flights departing between April 30th and June 30th, 2019.

AirAsia currently operates 11 direct flight routes from Taiwan, including Taipei/Kaohsiung-Kuala Lumpur, Taipei-Sabah, Taipei-Manila, Taipei-Cebu; as well as the Taipei-Clark, Taipei-Chiang Mai, and Kaohsiung-Manila routes launched last year, plus the newly launched Taipei-Osaka, Taipei-Nagoya, and Taipei-Boracay routes this year.
