Located about 4.5 hours’ drive east of Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam, Mui Ne is a seaside town that was once a small fishing village known for selling fresh fish. Today, it has become a top holiday destination for foreign travelers visiting Vietnam.

In addition to the famous Mui Ne Fishing Port known for its basket boats, Mui Ne also boasts two breathtaking desert dunes — the White Sand Dunes and the Red Sand Dunes — as well as the hidden gem of Fairy Creek nestled among the hills. All are must-see spots when visiting Mui Ne.

Hidden among the hills, Fairy Creek features unique karst topography. The red sand dunes are lined with white limestone cliffs, sparse greenery, and a brilliant blue sky — a rich palette of colors that creates a picturesque scene.

The water in Fairy Creek is very shallow, reaching no deeper than the lower calves, and carries a lot of fine sand. As you hike up the creek step by step, walking barefoot in the water is extremely comfortable and refreshing.
