Seasonal Limited Pink Waterfall Orchids – A Dreamy and Romantic Dendrobium Experience

Every year in April and May, the Dendrobium heaven orchids bloom in full splendor, with their pink floral sea cascading down like a waterfall — hence their nickname “waterfall orchids,” creating a dreamy, picturesque scene.

Located in the Hongshi Xizhou Tribe in Baihe District, Tainan, this village is usually remote and rarely visited, even locals from Baihe may not know about its existence.

However, in recent years, the Dendrobium orchid waterfall has drawn crowds. Around May each year, the orchids burst into bloom, creating a magnificent sight resembling a waterfall.

The blooming Dendrobium orchids have also brought a large number of tourists to admire the flowers, turning this hidden small village into a popular flower-viewing destination.

The Hongshi Xizhou Tribe has only about a hundred residents and is a typical agricultural community. Several years ago, after retiring, local resident Mr. Wu started cultivating orchids. He brought the Dendrobium heaven orchids to his home and let them grow on an old longan tree. Since then, every blooming season, the site attracts numerous visitors.
