Everyone must have seen famous world-renowned paintings such as the "Mona Lisa," "Girl with a Pearl Earring," and "The Gleaners," but have you ever seen a "catified" version of these masterpieces? The "Cat Art Museum – CAR ART World Famous Paintings Exhibition" displays artworks from renowned Japanese artist Mr. Osamu Yamamoto, in which all the main subjects are transformed into cats. It's incredibly creative – a must-visit exhibition for all cat lovers!

The "Cat Art Museum – CAR ART World Famous Paintings Exhibition" is Mr. Osamu Yamamoto’s first large-scale overseas special exhibition. Through his playful artistic reinterpretation, the people in the paintings are turned into cats, allowing viewers to reconstruct their understanding of the world through the perspective of felines – it’s truly eye-catching!

This time, 60 selected original authentic artworks are chosen from over 500 pieces by Mr. Osamu Yamamoto. The world-famous paintings featured in the exhibition span various artistic periods including ancient civilizations, the Renaissance, Baroque, Neoclassicism, Realism, Impressionism, 20th-century art, and Asian art – such as the well-known Vermeer’s "Girl with a Pearl Earring," Da Vinci’s "Mona Lisa," and Miller’s "The Gleaners."

In addition, this exhibition is also Asia’s first pet-friendly art show. In special collaboration with the Taipei City Animal Protection Office, every Friday during the exhibition period is designated as a Pet Open Day. Pet owners are welcome to bring their pets to enjoy the art together. While admiring the paintings, visitors can also learn a lot about pets, as well as information on pet-friendly spaces and shops in Taipei.
