Breathtaking million-dollar city skyline at night from the waterfront’s first row—a seaside park

Located on the East River waterfront in Manhattan, this riverside park sits right on the water’s edge, offering sweeping views of the urban skyline.

Situated in Brooklyn, New York, the former Domino Sugar Factory has built a public park along the waterfront, designed with an industrial aesthetic inspired by the sugar factory. The space includes lawns, sports courts, fountains, and seating areas, allowing visitors to enjoy sunbathing, picnics, and stunning city views.

Spanning 2.4 hectares and stretching 360 meters along the riverbank, Domino Park offers travelers views of the bustling traffic on the steel bridge and the magnificent Manhattan skyline.

The landscape design of Domino Park commemorates what was once the world’s largest sugar refinery. It preserves 21 syrup collection columns from the abandoned refinery’s refining process, a 178-meter-long crane rail track, and four 11-meter-high cylindrical tanks—truly spectacular.

Designers aimed to encourage more interaction among park visitors and create a connection with the surrounding neighborhood and historical sites. Benches on the deck all face the waterfront, complemented by expansive lawn picnic areas, a Japanese garden, and various family-friendly amenities—ensuring fun and relaxation for visitors of all ages.
