While everyone was anticipating the debut of the fenix 4, Garmin surprisingly released this outdoor watch called the fenix Chronos. Although the product name, fenix Chronos, did not meet expectations in terms of naming, in terms of product caliber, this watch is definitely worth the wait. In fact, the fenix Chronos, with its outstanding design and superior quality, has taken the fenix family a step further into the realms of fashion and business — a high-end timepiece that truly allows outdoor enthusiasts to enjoy a variety of sports activities, while also being suitable for everyday wear at various occasions to showcase exceptional taste.

The glamorous transformation of the fenix Chronos in appearance instantly associates it with high-end mechanical watches. Indeed, starting with the fenix 3 series, Garmin has addressed the traditional criticism of outdoor watches lacking visual appeal by shifting product design toward a fashionable and business-oriented style, showing that the fenix can be not only more professional but also more stylish. This time, Garmin has launched three versions of the fenix Chronos, each highlighting different design styles through varying watch bands, materials, and designs.

fenix Chronos — Leather Strap

This version of the fenix Chronos features a brushed stainless steel case, giving the entire body a textured and premium feel. The finely detailed GMT (Greenwich Mean Time) scale around the case exudes the classic charm of a traditional mechanical watch. It comes with a leather strap favored by business professionals — the brown strap is supple and highly convenient to wear. Additionally, the watch includes a high-quality silicone strap, suitable for various outdoor sports activities.

fenix Chronos — Stainless Steel Strap

This version of the fenix Chronos differs from the previously mentioned fenix Chronos in that it is equipped with a brushed stainless steel strap, offering excellent quality and the convenience of a butterfly clasp. It perfectly complements the similarly brushed stainless steel case, making it the top choice for users who prefer metal straps. Additionally, to meet the needs of outdoor sports, this watch also includes a silicone strap.

fenix Chronos — Titanium Case + Titanium Strap

Different from the previous two fenix Chronos models, this version features a matte titanium case with a brushed titanium bezel. The inclusion of a telemeter indicates the repetition of a unit quantity within an hour. For the strap, this fenix Chronos uses a titanium butterfly clasp band that supports quick-release functionality and offers great comfort during wear. Thanks to the titanium materials used, the overall watch is significantly lighter. Like the other two models, this fenix Chronos also comes with a silicone strap suitable for outdoor activities.

Aside from differences in craftsmanship, materials, and design, all three models share the same features. They all adopt advanced 7x24-hour optical heart rate monitoring technology, feature built-in GPS+GLONASS dual satellite positioning, and embed Garmin’s proud EXO antenna beneath the case, effectively overcoming the challenge of poor signal reception often associated with internal antennas. They also come with a barometric altimeter, thermometer, and electronic compass, support TracBack navigation and 100-meter water resistance, and can record a wealth of sports data such as time, speed, distance, and altitude. Through the ANT+ protocol, they can also be used with sensors like heart rate straps, power meters, and cadence sensors. In terms of battery life, the watch mode offers up to 4 weeks of use, while GPS mode provides up to 25 hours.

The fenix Chronos supports daily activity tracking, recording steps taken, distance covered, and calories burned each day. It also includes sleep monitoring and sedentary reminders. When connected to a smartphone, it can receive various notifications such as calls, texts, emails, as well as app messages from Weibo, WeChat, QQ, and more — all easily viewable by simply raising your wrist. It also supports answering, redialing, and ending calls, offering great convenience. Additionally, via the Connect IQ platform, users can download a variety of watch face styles, including analog and digital modes, along with a wide range of themes, creating a personalized watch just for you.
