Located in the eastern waters of Orchid Island, Dongqing Bay is the island’s largest bay and also the place in Taiwan where you can greet the first rays of sunlight each day. When visiting Dongqing Bay, you might even spot one of the most iconic symbols of the Tao people — the traditional outrigger canoe.

Adjacent to Dongqing Bay, the Yeyin Tribe not only allows you to see the best-preserved traditional settlement of the Tao people but also lets you admire its colorful houses set against the bright sun and vast blue sea — a truly enchanting sight.

Known as the most polite tribe, Langdao offers the most beautiful natural swimming pool — the “Langdao Secret Spot” — as well as a hidden gem of a food corner, Bais Café. You can also hike up Langdao Prayer Mountain to overlook the Langdao Tribe and the endless blue sea.
