Jiaoxi, located in a volcanic zone, features diverse landscapes such as hot springs, waterfalls, lakes, and mountain scenery. Take a holiday and bring your family to explore Jiaoxi!

Located on the Sacred Mother Mountain National Trail in Jiaoxi, Yilan, the trailhead is at the well-known Wufeng Waterfall. With an elevation drop of about 700 meters, it’s a bit challenging, but the view from the top is absolutely worth it.

The summit viewing platform at Sacred Mother Mountain offers an unobstructed 360-degree panorama. In addition to seeing the entire Lanyang Plain, looking toward Pinglin in the distance reveals layered mountain peaks that resemble an ink-wash painting—a breathtaking scene.

Located in Yilan, Houdongkeng Waterfall got its name from the legend that many monkeys once lived here. The waterfall has a short but rapid stream with a significant drop, and the water is crystal clear. Aside from enjoying the waterfall, you can also stroll along the trail for exercise, breathe in phytoncides, and take in views of the Lanyang region.
