Stunning suspension bridge hike to escape the summer heat – romantic flowers in full bloom

Summer is approaching, making it the perfect time to head up the mountains to escape the heat. The Baishihu area in Neihu Mountain is an ideal spot for relaxation and cooling off.

To complement the light purple Baishihu Suspension Bridge nestled between Dajiaotou Mountain and Zhongyong Valley, Taipei City – in early May gave the Baishihu Heart Lake a new look – planting angelonia, also known as angel flower, along with surrounding heart-shaped duranta. The area is adorned with emerald green lotus leaves, creating an eye-catching scene that gives Baishihu a fresh new vibe.

Looking down from Bishan Rock toward the valley, the first sight to greet you is the giant dragon-shaped Baishihu Suspension Bridge. Then, as you walk into the lush Spring-Autumn Trail, you’ll find many creatures and insects along the way. The hike not only offers a cool respite but also a closeness to nature.

Beyond the trail lies the famous Heart Lake and Yongjie Pavilion. Even on weekdays, it sees many visitors and is bustling with activity – attracting numerous couples and social media influencers who come to take photos by the Heart Lake.

Travelers can sit inside Yongjie Pavilion, chatting and enjoying the breeze, sharing stories of leisure from local elders, and reminiscing about the details of rural life in previous decades.
