Kaohsiung’s super-popular landmark, the “Taiping Skywalk,” has sparked heated discussions and attracted many visitors since its opening. At an altitude of 1,000 meters, the views during the day stretch across the Chianan Plain all the way to the Taiwan Strait, while the nighttime light show is dazzling and colorful, resembling a starlit avenue in the sky—truly a breathtaking sight.

The Southern Branch of the Taipei Fine Arts Museum features a minimalist design with an all-white, pentagonal exterior as its main style. The museum was jointly created by architect Shih Chao-yung and the Japanese firm Shigeru Ban Architects, and is a building planned by a Pritzker Architecture Prize laureate. The structure draws inspiration from the phoenix flower, and its pentagonal shape will establish the Southern FAM as a cultural landmark symbolizing Tainan. The vertically stacked exhibition spaces, combined with a large fractal-style roof, form the main silhouette of the Southern FAM 2.

Located in Yongkang, Tainan, “Hou Lai Pang Le” is a small shop specializing in creative toast, and its most popular item is the “Pearl Milk Thick Toast.” The shop uses Danish bread for its toast, giving it a different texture compared to regular thick toast. After baking, the surface is crispy, but the inside remains soft. Paired with mildly sweet black sugar pearls and rich, creamy fresh whipped cream, it’s neither too sweet nor greasy.

As soon as you step into the “ONE.Bar,” a renovated old house, you can feel a strong Showa-era atmosphere. The first floor features vintage stained glass windows, table lamps, and tiled tabletops, while the second floor offers a tatami space, which is quite unique. During regular dining hours, the restaurant serves classic Taiwanese home-style set meals, with the braised fish set being a must-try. After 8 PM, the eatery transforms into a charming old-school bar, offering customized classic cocktails and aged whiskies.
