The Penghu County Government has announced that the dates for the 2018 "Penghu International Maritime Fireworks Festival" have been confirmed, running from April 26 to June 28 next year. A total of 20 spectacular fireworks shows are expected. Start planning your island trip now to enjoy the most beautiful night views in Taiwan’s outlying islands！

The Penghu International Maritime Fireworks Festival has become the most iconic tourism event in Penghu, attracting an increasing number of domestic and international visitors to the island every year. The Penghu County Government stated that preparations for the 2018 Penghu Fireworks Festival are underway. In addition to the main venue at the Guanyin Pavilion area in Magong City, continuing the 2017 event format, five shows will be held in other townships across the county — Huxi, Siyu, Baisha, Wang’an, and Qimei — aiming to use the appeal of the fireworks festival to draw tourists into these five areas for an in-depth experience and discovery of local hidden gems.

At the same time, to boost winter tourism in Penghu, the Penghu County Government has launched the "2017 Winter Penghu Tourism Visitor Voucher" campaign from now until February 10, 2018. If you are not a resident of Penghu and stay for a 2-night, 3-day trip, you can receive 11 visitor vouchers (each worth NT$100), totaling NT$1,100, provided you present your transportation receipts, identification documents, and proof of accommodation in Penghu for at least two nights. For those staying for a 1-night, 2-day trip, you can receive 5 visitor vouchers (each worth NT$100), totaling NT$500.
