Temperatures across Taiwan these days will range between 25–30°C, with slightly higher highs in the south reaching up to 32°C. In southeastern Taiwan, temperatures can go as high as 34°C.
Affected by subsidence from the southwest monsoon, some areas may experience soaring temperatures. On June 2, the Taipei Basin, New Taipei City, Taitung County, as well as mountainous or valley areas near Kaohsiung City and Pingtung County have been issued a yellow-level high temperature alert by the Central Weather Bureau (temperatures could reach above 36°C). Please take extra care when going out.

From Tuesday, June 4 to Friday, June 7, influenced by the southwest monsoon, rainfall in the north will ease but brief afternoon thunderstorms are still possible. The southern region may see scattered brief showers, while other areas will be mostly cloudy to sunny with isolated afternoon thunderstorms.
