The Hello Kitty-themed train is a must-ride after landing at the airport — three floral designs full of Japanese charm

The Haruka Limited Express from Kansai Airport is a popular choice for many travelers heading to Kyoto and Osaka from the airport. Now JR West has collaborated with Hello Kitty to launch a special edition “Haruka” train wrapped in adorable illustrations, featuring Kitty dressed in a deep blue kimono both inside and outside the train — simply adorable.

Three different illustrated train designs feature floral patterns in various color palettes, paired with butterflies, paper cranes, and traditional Japanese hair ornaments such as kanzashi. The interior design also echoes the theme, showcasing floral Kittys in different color schemes.

This time, the themed painted train draws inspiration from Japanese aesthetics, featuring three uniquely designed Hello Kitty Haruka trains. Onboard, Hello Kitty not only wears her iconic kimono but is also paired with various Japanese floral designs, showcasing Japan’s elegant beauty.
