Taipei 101 opens to the public for the first time — an outdoor observation deck at 460 meters high

Since its completion in 2004, Taipei 101 has held the record as the world’s tallest building. Each year, its New Year’s Eve fireworks remain a global highlight. In 2019, it introduced a brand-new “New Horizon,” allowing visitors to witness Taipei 101’s “height” firsthand through the opening of its 101st-floor outdoor observation platform, and to gain a deeper understanding of Taipei and Taiwan.

The new experience of Taipei 101’s “New Horizon” begins at the 5th floor, where a newly launched “Experience Taiwan” exhibition area showcases the grand architecture of Taipei 101. There’s also an 8K projection screen, 20 meters long and three meters high, displaying diverse beautiful landscapes of Taiwan.

The Taiwan scenery is presented using Optoma’s flagship engineering projectors, complemented by interactive technology and a sound interaction wall. A “Forest of Sounds” created by 101 crystal-toned sound levels offers visitors a whole new experience.

Ascending from the 89th-floor observatory to the 101 SKYLINE 460, you’ll reach an unobstructed outdoor observation deck where you can feel the powerful sensations of height, wind, light, and touch, and truly experience the breathtaking feeling of strolling among the clouds.
