Qixingtan is a crescent-shaped bay paved with gravel, with a beach width of about 100meters, once the most thriving fishing hub in Huadong. After years of planning, the area now features a cycling path that allows you to take in the surrounding scenery and rich flora and fauna, making for an enlightening and worthwhile experience.

Originally military land, Sibah Gaodi gets its name from its elevation of 48 meters. It is located at the southernmost tip of Qixingtan’s crescent bay, offering sweeping views of the elegant arc of the northern shoreline. The portfront bike path from Qixingtan to Hualien City’s North Bin Park passes through the highland, making it the best vantage point.

Transformed from a bonito drying factory that operated for 20 years, the Qixing Bonito Museum preserves local characteristics and uses various displays to explain the operations of fixed-net fisheries and how the bonito often seen on dining tables is made, fully showcasing the cultural evolution of an industry.

Covering 1,200 pyeong, Longquan Water Park is located next to the Jiashan connecting road in Jialin Village. Two to three decades ago, a deep well was dug here to meet irrigation needs, uncovering a rich water source, which was later buried due to the widening of an industrial road. In recent years, the water has been redirected to create this recreational water park, bringing the living spring back to life.
