Not just the Guan Yuan Eye Hospital café — Taichung’s trendy retro new spot, Lüshe

Another Insta-worthy spot to check out in Taichung — the ultra-retro new venue Lüshe, where a stylish tea house offers both must-drink beverages and must-take photos.

Following the success of the Guan Yuan Eye Hospital café and the Fourth Credit Cooperative, Taiwan Sunrise Dairy has launched a new brand in central Taichung — Lüshe, with its store located near Taichung Railway Station.

Lüshe centers around tea, using a Zen-inspired architectural design and high-quality packaging to create an oriental atmosphere throughout the space.

The name “Lüshe” originates from the Japanese colonial period when poetry societies flourished in Taiwan. The three largest poetry clubs at the time were the Ying Society in Taipei, the Lüshe in Taichung, and the Nan Society in Tainan, collectively known as Taiwan’s Big Three Poetry Societies.

The interior of Lüshe is decorated with Eastern elements such as classical poetry, calligraphy, and landscape paintings, all set against a black, white, and gray color scheme to craft a refined space where visitors can immerse themselves in the aroma of tea.
