Wu Pao-chun joins New Paradise Mall! Ibis rolls out wellness stays in Taiwan

This Wu Pao-chun Maison Kayser branch, “Huilan Harmony Store,” is not only the baker’s first outlet in eastern Taiwan, but Wu has also been appointed as the “Hualien Tourism and Culture Ambassador.” He also noted that he will use locally sourced Hualien ingredients to create bread varieties exclusive to the eastern branch, which has excited bread lovers and fans. The Huilan series, available only at the Hualien branch, includes three types of bread — “Huilan No. 1” purple sweet potato, “Huilan No. 2” taro roll, and “Huilan No. 3” sweet potato roll, priced from NT$65.

Ibis, an economy brand under France’s Accor hotel group, has been invited by Taya Development Group to Taiwan to create the “wellness stay” concept hotel “New Paradise Mall 2.” With 704 rooms, it meets travelers’ needs for both vacation and lifestyle through the latest trend of “resort-style wellness villages.” It offers star-rated hotel management services, a 5G tech-enabled environment, and more, allowing guests to enjoy both relaxation and wellness along with cutting-edge tech amenities — making it an AI-powered smart hotel.

The Ibis wellness stay “New Paradise Mall 2” is expected to be completed by the end of 2020. In addition, Ibis’s first foothold in Taiwan is in Taipei, which opened in October 2019.

France’s Accor hotel group is the world’s third-largest hotel company, with representative hotel management brands including Mercure, Novotel, and Grand Mercure. Ibis, together with Taya Development’s subsidiary, is building “New Paradise Mall 2” in eastern Taiwan, which is expected to become the largest hotel in eastern Taiwan and the world’s largest Ibis hotel.
