On April 23, JD.com partnered with Apple to host an offline public welfare event titled “i on JD” at Beijing’s 798 Art Zone. To encourage more young people to participate, JD.com also collaborated with the popular shared bike brand ofo, delivering a positive, fun, and engaging cross-industry public welfare experience centered around three key themes: public welfare, health, and technology. The event was themed around the letter “i”: as one of Apple’s brand symbols, phonetically similar to the word “love” in Chinese, and corresponding to the Chinese character for “me.” Through this cross-industry public welfare collaboration, JD.com hopes to inspire people to embrace a lifestyle of “caring for others, caring for health, and caring for oneself.”

I. “Expressing for i”: Care in Every Stroke – Autism Children’s Public Welfare Art Exhibition

Coinciding with April being Autism Awareness Month, JD.com and Apple jointly presented an autism children’s public welfare art exhibition at the event, showcasing 33 paintings created by autistic children. The striking color palettes and imaginative content of the artworks were truly breathtaking. Visitors to the exhibition noted that they could feel the rich inner world of the autistic children through these paintings. Additionally, JD.com and Apple selected four of the artworks for secondary creation in collaboration with digital accessories brand ESR, transforming them into Apple accessories that will go on sale for charity on JD.com Mall starting April 27. All proceeds will be donated to the 611 Public Welfare Association Volunteers’ Autism Children’s Charity Organization. JD.com hopes that those who purchase these charitable accessories will carry the spirit of these paintings with them, spreading care wherever they go.

II. “Setting Off for i”: Health Together – ofo 5KM Group Health Ride with 100 Participants

In support of JD.com’s public welfare event, the popular shared bike brand ofo also took part. The “100-Person 5KM Health Ride,” initiated and recruited by JD.com and ofo, started from the exhibition venue and circled around Beijing’s 798 Art Zone, promoting a healthy lifestyle through the activity. The head of ofo shared bikes stated that the brand also hopes to advocate, along with JD.com and Apple, for a modern, healthy way of travel through this public welfare event.

III. “Thumbs Up for i”: Shared Sentiment – Apple History Museum

As part of the public welfare event, JD.com and Apple built an “Apple History Museum.” The museum not only displayed various generations of Apple products but also featured heartfelt customer reviews of Apple products selected from the JD.com platform—some touching, some motivational, and some humorous. Visitors could learn about the transformative power of technology on the world and the enhanced experiences Apple products bring to life. JD.com and Apple hope this Apple History Museum will resonate with visitors, prompting them to give a thumbs up to Apple, to love, and to themselves—encouraging everyone to care for themselves.

Meanwhile, JD.com, as the only authorized e-commerce platform for Apple’s full product line, launched the “i on JD · Red” Apple Brand Festival on April 27. With three core themes—“i Public Welfare,” “i Health,” and “i Apple”—and featuring Apple-related products, the festival fully embraced the spirit of this public welfare initiative. For every Apple product sold during the brand festival, JD.com will donate 1 RMB to the One Foundation’s “Ocean Paradise Plan” to support autistic children and their families. JD.com and Apple, two companies that share a deep sense of humanity and social responsibility, hope that through this cross-industry public welfare campaign, they can effectively promote a new, healthy, and loving way of life.
