Rakuno Shrine is a non-ranked shrine originally built in the village of Takata. It enshrines the Three Gods of Pioneering (Ōkuninushi-no-Kami, Sukunahikona-no-Kami, and Ōnamuchi-no-Kami) as well as Prince Kitashirakawa Yoshihisa. Constructed in 1923 during the Japanese colonial period, it was jointly built by Japanese immigrants in the village of Rakuno through voluntary labor, making it the first shrine in Taiwan completed through a collaborative effort between Taiwanese and Japanese craftsmen. The architecture is simple, consisting only of the main hall, torii gate, and temizuya (purification pavilion).
