Must-see salt pans and seaside views in summer, savor the Seven Treasures Feast at the Qigu Seafood Festival — dig for clams and enjoy fresh seafood

The highlight of summer family travel activities, the "Tainan Qigu Seafood Festival" series, will be held from July 13 to August 17. The event includes the "Sightseeing Red-Mouthed Fish Garden Clam Digging Experience," "Group Tour Qigu GO," and the "Qigu Seven Treasures Feast," allowing visitors to taste the most authentic local seafood flavors, freshness, and hospitality.

The "Tainan High One Summer" event kicks off with the Qigu Seafood Festival, and this year’s "Sightseeing Red-Mouthed Fish Garden Clam Digging Experience" marks its 13th year. The opening week features a specially planned "Community Agricultural Specialty Sales" promotion, ensuring visitors go home with plenty of goodies.

Among them, the local experience tour "Group Tour Qigu GO" has planned four major themed routes this year. Online registration opened on June 17, and currently, only the August 14 "Rural Exploration and Culture Tour" session still has available spots.

In addition, Qigu boasts abundant agricultural and fishery products. To promote locally sourced, fresh Qigu Seven Treasures (milkfish, mullet, tilapia, grouper, white shrimp, clams, and oysters), a collaboration with Chef Chen Zhen-dong has resulted in the "Qigu Seven Treasures Feast." On August 10, 50 tables will be set, featuring a seafood banquet with the freshest ingredients delivered directly from their place of origin. Online table reservations open at 9 AM on Monday, July 8 (one table per person), with a special return price of just NT$4,500 per table.
