Due to the ongoing domestic dengue fever outbreak, an alert was sent via nationwide SMS stating that “your area (Kaishan Li) has a local dengue fever case.” This was because the disaster prevention system mistakenly interpreted the area range “kilometers” as “meters,” causing the alert to be issued for the entire country, leaving many people puzzled upon receiving the message — and making “Kaishan Li” an overnight sensation.
