The path of Typhoon Danas (No. 5) has shifted eastward. The Central Weather Bureau lifted the land typhoon warning at 8:30 p.m. yesterday, and the typhoon is currently located to the northeast of Eluanbi, continuing to move northward.

Although the typhoon is gradually moving away, the Central Weather Bureau warns that due to the influence of its peripheral circulation, localized heavy rain and torrential rain are expected south of Chiayi, in the Hengchun Peninsula, and there is also a chance of localized heavy rain in the eastern half of the country and mountainous areas north of Yunlin. The public should stay alert for sudden downpours.
Typhoon Danas is turning northward and gradually moving away from Taiwan.
The Central Weather Bureau has issued special heavy rain alerts for 15 counties and cities across Taiwan. New Taipei City, Taoyuan City, Hsinchu County, Miaoli County, Taichung City, Yilan County, Hualien County, Nantou County, and Yunlin County are experiencing heavy rain, while Chiayi County and City, Tainan City, Kaohsiung City, Pingtung County, and Taitung County are facing torrential rain conditions.
