The Ye Ash Kiln is located on a small elevated area by the seawall in Ye Village, Huxi Township, Penghu. The surface soil of the highland has eroded, exposing earthen-brown basalt blocks.

The ash kiln was one of Penghu’s representative traditional industries, but it declined due to changes in social patterns. The remaining ash kiln ruins in Ye Village are now the most extensive relics of the ash kiln industry in Penghu.
