Looking back at this league event, the opening ceremony performance was spectacular. The Huayin Laoqiang performance by the Yellow River Laoqiang Art Troupe featured bold, sonorous, and majestic vocal styles.2006In the year, Huayin Laoqiang was included inthe first batch of National Intangible Cultural Heritage listings,and2016year it appeared on CCTV’s Spring Festival Gala. The dance "Fairy Scattering Flowers" is an excerpt from the famous large-scale ethnic dance drama "Silk Road Rain of Flowers." Set against the backdrop of the prosperous Tang Dynasty in China, and inspired by the world-renownedSilk Roadand Dunhuang murals, the drama draws on the strengths of folk songs and dances from various regions to recreate the splendor of the Tang era. The opening ceremony also featured the first singing group of the ethnic minorityYugur people,the Saer Band, as well as monthly champion Guo Shaojie from Star Avenue and local Lanzhou singer-songwriter Li Xiaojie, who presented a splendid show highlighting Lanzhou’s regional characteristics, preserving intangible cultural heritage, and promoting Chinese culture.

7On the evening of Month30, the "Dream Carrier" was illuminated in Anning District, and a grand torch parade spanning10.4kilometers was held. The parade was a magnificent spectacle, with30trucks lined up along the street forming a long procession. Starting from the Qilihe Yellow River Bridge, they traveled along the Yellow River toward Mogao Avenue. The burners spewed flames in rhythm with the music, reaching heights of5meters. Accompanied by deafening sounds, the night sky was lit up as if it were daytime, thrilling the crowds. The parade eventually returned to the central business district, the main venue, where it concluded.

The competition period for this league was from 7[month]29to7[month]31. After multiple weather tests conducted daily by the meteorological team, the race tasks were announced by the event director. Lanzhou’s Anning district, with its stable winds, open spaces, and superior climate conditions, is especially suitable for hot air balloon competitions. The event included designated target challenges, flying toward the main venue, and shortest-distance contests. These events tested the pilots’ aerial skills across various dimensions such as flight altitude, speed, and wind direction control.

After3days of intense and exciting competition, all pilots witnessed a glorious moment together at the award ceremony. The clubs that secured fourth to sixth places in the China Hot Air Balloon Club League “Lanzhou Bank Cup” Lanzhou·Anning Station were Shenyang Blue Sky Aviation Sports Club Co., Ltd., Xiaoyi Yuexiang Aviation Sports Club Co., Ltd., and Liaoning Aviation Sports School. Feng Yudong from Feixian Xujiaya Aviation Flight Camp Co., Ltd. ranked third with2017The 4th to 6th place clubs in the "Lanzhou Bank Cup" Lanzhou-Anning Station of the China Hot Air Balloon Club League were Shenyang Blue Sky Aviation Sports Club Co., Ltd., Xiaoyi Yuexiang Aviation Sports Club Co., Ltd., and Liaoning Provincial Aviation Sports School. Feng Yudong from Feixian Xujiaya Aviation Flight Base Co., Ltd.2139points; Zhou Zhiqi from Beijing Tianxing Aviation Sports Development Co., Ltd. took second place with2152points; and the championship title was won by Zhang Guofeng from Jiangxi Feiteng General Aviation Co., Ltd. with2562points. The league also presented the annual awards for the2016season of the China Hot Air Balloon Club League. The first place went to Liu Jianye from Datong Huantong, the second to Zuo Dan from Jiangxi Feiteng, and the third to Yang Haijun from Jinzhong Tianwaitian. With this, the China Hot Air Balloon Club League “Lanzhou Bank Cup” Lanzhou·Anning Station came to a successful close. Feng Xiaoyu, the “image ambassador” of this league, also had the opportunity to participate in the speed racing event. She flew over the Yellow River in a hot air balloon and enjoyed a brand-new perspective of Anning’s beauty, taking in the unique charm of the Yellow River, Tianfu Shagong, Flame Mountain, Yintan Wetland Park, and Renshou Mountain from the sky.
