Typhoon Lekima, the ninth of the season, formed on the afternoon of the 4th, moving northwestward while continuing to strengthen. Its future path still has considerable room for variation, and the probability of it affecting Taiwan has increased.

Currently, the center of Typhoon Lekima, the ninth of the season, is located in the Pacific Ocean at approximately 18.5 degrees north latitude and 130.4 degrees east longitude, moving northwest-northwest at a speed of 6 km per hour. Its maximum sustained wind speed is 20 meters per second, with gusts reaching up to 30 meters per second. The radius of the typhoon's seven-level gale force winds is 100 kilometers.

At present, forecasts for Typhoon Lekima vary among different countries, with high uncertainty. Additionally, as its intensity gradually increases, close observation is required. Furthermore, localized showers are expected in the eastern half and Hengchun Peninsula over the next two days. Due to atmospheric instability, there will also be localized thunderstorms in the western regions and mountainous areas south of Taoyuan. The public is advised to carry rain gear when going out.
