International Cat Day at the Cat Art Museum – Play with cats and take cute photos with fellow feline fans!

Another wave of cat fever in August – Asia’s first pet-friendly art exhibition, the Cat Art Museum, launches a special event on International Cat Day, August 8.

The Cat Art Museum is a brand-new type of exhibition created in Taiwan, combining three key elements: Cat, Art, and Tempting (CAT). It has generated huge buzz online and is hailed as a must-visit exhibition for all cat lovers. Just looking at the cat-themed artworks can bring smiles and ultimate relaxation. The first-floor Cat Creation Space allows visitors to immerse themselves in famous paintings and transform into cats, unleashing their cutest sides.

August 8 is not only Father’s Day in Taiwan but also International Cat Day, well-known among cat lovers. To celebrate this “cat holiday” with all cat owners and enthusiasts, the Cat Art Museum has specially opened its doors to visitors bringing their cats on August 8, even though it’s not a designated pet day. A renowned Japanese K-LINE cat mascot performer will be at the museum’s first-floor “Cat Creation Space” for photo ops with cat lovers and their feline companions, offering a fully immersive “meow” experience.

On August 8 and 9, visitors dressed in cat-themed clothing or accessories, or those bringing their cats, can enjoy discounted tickets for 230 TWD (original price 300 TWD, one ticket per person). The first 100 visitors each day who purchase this ticket package will receive a free limited-edition gift from the organizers (random selection, no choice).

Besides the special event on August 8, Cat Lovers’ Month in August also brings multiple discounts at the Cat Art Museum: Show your cup from the museum’s collaboration with 85°C coffee chain along with the receipt to get a 70 TWD discount, and get a free exhibition-exclusive postcard by checking in at the cup (no selection). Those whose ID numbers contain the letters C, A, or T, or whose passport English names include any two of these letters, can purchase the 230 TWD event ticket (original price 300 TWD) at the venue with valid ID, one ticket per person, and also receive a random free limited-edition gift.

Another highlight of the exhibition is its merchandise. Cat Art Museum’s products such as gashapon, puzzles, and posters are very popular among netizens. In August, the museum introduces new items: unframed prints originally priced at 1,000 TWD each are now available at 88% of the original price, just 880 TWD each.
