Tainan's Baihe Lotus Festival Kicks Off – Ride the "Lotus-Viewing Bus" for Free with an Electronic Ticket

The annual Baihe Lotus Festival is set to debut on June 7. At the recent inauguration ceremony of the Baihe Transfer Station, the Tainan City Transportation Bureau announced the launch of the "Lotus-Viewing Bus," making it more convenient for travelers to visit the Baihe area.

The Baihe Transfer Station is an important transit hub for the surrounding region and serves as a key transportation link to Taiwan’s internationally renowned Guanziling and the coffee-rich Dongshan area. It officially opened on the 22nd. The station consists of the main transfer building and bus lanes. Its bright and lively yellow-and-white exterior, paired with large floor-to-ceiling glass windows, creates a bright and comfortable waiting environment. Inside, lotus-themed seating has been designed to be both aesthetically pleasing and functional, reflecting the local lotus culture. The station also features access roads tailored to the area, which help ease traffic flow and make boarding and alighting more convenient.

With the Baihe Lotus Festival set to begin in June, and in response to the sharp increase in visitors, the Tainan City Transportation Bureau has introduced the "Lotus-Viewing Bus." Passengers using an electronic ticket can ride the bus for free (free travel within 8 km when using an electronic ticket), all while enjoying the vibrant blossoms along the way. In addition to flower viewing, visitors can also sample local agricultural specialties and learn more about the rural life and scenery of Baihe.

From now until July 26, the "Lotus-Viewing Bus" will offer free rides with an electronic ticket every weekend and public holiday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Buses will run approximately every 45–60 minutes, with a total of 24 round-trip services daily between Baihe and the entrance of the Lotus Park. Stops include Baihe Farmers' Association, Lotus Avenue South Station, Lotus Avenue North Station, Dapai Bamboo, Beidapai Bamboo, Nanyufeng, Lotus Information Hall, and Yufeng. On weekdays, travelers can also ride the existing “Yellow Line 15 Branch” for free with an electronic ticket, getting off at the entrance of Lotus Park from Baihe Station.
