Spend a night at the Presidential Office Building—world's first free overnight stay!

The century-old historical landmark, the Presidential Office Building, is hosting the "Spend a Night at the Presidential Office Building" event organized by the Chinese Cultural Association, soon to be open to international travelers. It will be the world’s first opportunity to spend the night in the Presidential Office Building. This event allows international friends to experience Taiwan’s warmth and vibrancy, enhancing Taiwan’s global visibility.

This year marks the 100th anniversary of the Presidential Office building. Travelers can experience an overnight stay in the Executive Building, a two-story facility located within the Presidential Office compound. The room offers a direct view of the main Presidential Office structure. The interior is neatly and simply furnished. Selected international travelers will take turns staying here as part of the experience, which includes airport pickup, morning participation in the “flag-raising ceremony,” and breakfast served inside the Presidential Office.

The selection judges include cultural critic Chan Wei-hsun, travel writer Wu Feng, and travel blogger Hsu Jie. The first group of international guests was welcomed in October. Through this “Spend a Night at the Presidential Office” event, international visitors can form an impression of Taiwan that goes beyond xiaolongbao and bubble tea — experiencing instead a new first impression of democracy, freedom, openness, and the warm hospitality of the Taiwanese people.
