Every summer is the season of blooming lotus flowers, and the 2019 Taoyuan Lotus Festival set up numerous photogenic spots in Guanyin, Taoyuan. These seven dreamy scenes transformed Taoyuan into a photo spot generator.

1.Sunflower Sea
Yangyang Farm, covering an area of 18,000 pyeong, is the largest sunflower-themed farm in northern Taiwan. The sunflower season runs from May to October each year, with towering blooms forming vast golden-yellow seas of flowers — a truly spectacular sight. The sunflowers are currently in full bloom, with the season lasting until around October. Admission to the farm is free.

An ultra-dreamy fruit and melon arbor corridor.
2.Fruit and Melon Arbor Corridor
Located at the main venue of this year’s Taoyuan Lotus Festival, the fruit and melon arbor corridor features a dreamy scene resembling a green tunnel of climbing fruits and vines. It’s so picturesque that almost any shot taken here will have a Japanese-inspired ethereal feel — a must-visit photo spot for travelers.

A vast sea of pink and purple pickerelweed flowers blooms in stunning splendor.
3.Pickerelweed Flower Carpet
In Monet’s Garden, a vast expanse of pink and purple pickerelweed flowers blooms, creating a dreamy sea of blossoms that is simply breathtaking. The pink-purple pickerelweed blooms only in summer, with delicate, slender plants swaying gracefully in the wind, adding even more romance. The minimum admission fee is 100 NTD. Not only can you enjoy the flower sea within the park, but you can also sit in the outdoor area to admire the pond landscaping. The tranquil environment, paired with the park’s plants and trees, feels like a hidden paradise.

4.Flower Swing
Kangzhuang Lotus Garden opens its grounds to visitors from July to September each year, offering rides on multiple giant water lilies (royal lotuses) for 50 NTD per ride — a chance to capture that “water-floating kung fu” feeling. In addition, there are artistic installations like the flower swing, making you feel as if you’ve stepped into a fairy tale.
