The annual “2019 Hsinchu City International Kite Festival” will be held on August 24 and 25 at Hsinchu Fishing Port. This year’s kite festival will have an animal theme, turning Nanzhaou into a sky zoo, and the sight of hundreds of kites flying together will be spectacular.

The Hsinchu International Kite Festival has entered its third year. Over the past two years, it has attracted more than 150,000 participants. This year, it once again invites over 20 kite teams from 8 countries around the world, with the theme “Animals,” creating a magnificent “Sky Zoo.”

The kite festival brings together kite enthusiasts from home and abroad, allowing hundreds of kites to soar into the sky together.

In addition to animal kites, there will also be superhero series kites that are loved by both children and adults.
This year’s kite festival event invites expert kite teams from multiple regions including the UK, Germany, the US, Japan, Singapore, Indonesia, and Macau. Over a hundred domestic and international kite masters will present performances featuring large soft kites, shaped kites, and stunt kites. Visitors can witness a breathtaking spectacle of numerous kites filling the sky — a major event not to be missed this year.

This year also features a night light kite performance, combining luminous stunt kites with dazzling light dance shows.
