Thanks to the opening of the Danhai Light Rail, New Taipei City has redeveloped and replanned the 3.7-hectare plot of land in front of the Danhai Light Rail Administrative Center Station, planting a vast array of flowers, now forming a beautiful floral carpet.

The 3.7-hectare plot of land in front of the Danhai Light Rail Administrative Center Station has been landscaped by the Landscape Affairs Division, which planted a variety of flowers to create the "Sunshine & Blooms Base." Currently, flowers such as angelonia, zinnias, lantanas, summer snapdragons, tiger lilies, golden variegated crotons, and copperleaf are in bloom, forming a stunning floral carpet.

Among them, the most eye-catching are the orange-red zinnias. Zinnias are favored by flower enthusiasts for their heat resistance, strong reproductive ability, fast growth, long flowering period, and ease of cultivation. There are also angelonias with their angelic, fresh, and elegant appearance in grape-purple hues, as well as summer snapdragons (also called trailing lantanas) blooming in romantic shades of pink, blue, and yellow.
