A dreamlike road that seems to lead straight into the sea, dubbed the “West Coast King Kong Avenue.” The million-dollar scenery at sunset is so beautiful it’ll make you cry.

Located on the section of the West Coast Expressway in Miaoli County between the Baishatun Interchange and Tongxiao Interchange, the newly opened road not only reduces travel time but also offers a straight drive along the beautiful coastline, with picturesque surroundings that are simply enchanting.

The Baishatun section of the West Coast Expressway is located near Gongchaoyun Temple in Tongxiao, Miaoli. The low-rise houses, woods, and farmlands on both sides present a unique rural charm, and when paired with the stunning seascape, it attracts many visitors, especially during sunset.

The straight road offers an unobstructed view of the coast and the horizon, creating a feeling akin to being in a foreign land — refreshing and uplifting — similar to the stunning beauty of Taiwan’s east coast.

Walking along the new West Coast highway, you can also visit nearby attractions such as the Miaoli Taiwan Salt Museum and Sifang Fresh Milk Farm, planning a relaxing mini-trip accompanied by beautiful scenery.
