Next to the century-old Chiayi Park lies the “Shōwa 18 J18 - Chiayi City Historical Site Museum,” brimming with strong Japanese vibes. The building was originally the purification hall and shrine office of the Chiayi Shrine during the Japanese colonial period, and inside there's an enchanting café.

This historic Japanese building was constructed in Shōwa 18 (1943 AD), rich in historical significance and giving visitors the feeling of being instantly transported to Kyoto, Japan. Whether it’s the red torii gate or the prayer wishing pavilion, every corner is perfect for capturing photos with a Japanese aesthetic.
