Every winter there’s January’s snow-white plum blossoms, spring brings April’s snow-like Chinese fringe tree blooms, May features the cherry blossoms, and come autumn, you can’t miss the September Snow — chive blossom sea. Besides the famous snow-white chive fields in Taoyuan’s Dasi area, you can also enjoy the beautiful September Snow scenery in Changhua.

Changhua can be called the capital of flower seas, with different varieties blooming across all four seasons. Around the Mid-Autumn Festival, near the Tianzhong Dasin Industrial Area, a field of chive blossoms bursts into a sea of white, attracting travelers to stop and admire as well as take photos.

The chive blossom season runs from late August to early October, with mid-September being the prime time for flower viewing. The pure white sea of blossoms looks like a delicate blanket of snow. Gazing at the vast expanse resembling a snowy ground, swaying in the wind, you’re immersed in a charm reminiscent of the northern lands — truly enchanting.

Up close they are tender and delicate; from afar, it's a white landscape. Chive blossoms aren’t just lovely like warm snow — their flower stalks, which appear before full bloom, are often used as a culinary ingredient. With a crisp texture, simply stir-frying them lightly makes for a delicious dish.
