Not just the Jimmy Transit Station anymore！13 new Jimmy-themed bus shelters make their debut

The Jimmy-themed attractions around Yilan Railway Station have always been a must-visit hotspot. In addition to the Flying Train, Happiness Transit Station, and Jimmy sightseeing buses (Starlight and Miracle), there are now 13 new Jimmy bus shelters that were completed and opened just before the Lunar New Year, offering visitors yet another photogenic spot during the holiday season.

To complement the newly renovated whimsical bus stop signs, Yilan City Government has collaborated with the “Yilan Happiness Transit Station” to launch a photo-taking and lucky draw campaign during the Lunar New Year holiday. Participants can upload their photos to the official Facebook page of the “Yilan Happiness Transit Station” to join the draw. Prizes include 30 Jimmy Happy Elephant Piggy Banks and 100 Jimmy postcards.

To promote the free and eco-friendly “Jimmy Sightseeing Bus” as a low-carbon travel option, Yilan City Government has once again partnered with the Jimmy brand. Continuing the use of themes from two of Jimmy Liao’s picture books, “Starry Starry Night” and “Don’t Be Afraid to Kiss,” the designs aim to align more closely with the functionality of special bus stop signs, shelters, and map guidance systems. With this in mind, Jimmy reimagined a series of extended illustrations tailored to the design requirements.

Among these, the bus shelters feature a minimalist design inspired by trees and the sky. They incorporate characters from the picture book “Don’t Be Afraid to Kiss,” such as the little tree and Pudding the dog, which Jimmy reinterpreted into three-dimensional forms based on actions and scenes. This adds a touch of fun for passengers using public transportation.

To promote the current Tuesday and Thursday reservation-based rides and guided tour services of the sightseeing bus, reservations for an Old Town tour (minimum 5 to 15 people per group) now come with a complimentary boho-style canvas tote bag (limited quantity: one per group, while supplies last, no replacements available). Reservations can be made by calling Yilan City Government at 03-9321410, providing details such as desired ride time, number of passengers, contact person's name and phone number, starting and ending bus stops, and round-trip times. Hop aboard Yilan’s free sightseeing bus “Ping’an Shunxing” to explore the Old Town and enjoy its beautiful scenery.
